Manchester, NH [5/17/18] - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) took a rare one-sided loss, 11-1, at the hands of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (New York Mets Double-A affiliate) on Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
New Hampshire was held hitless through 5.1 innings by Nabil Crismatt (Nuh-BEAL creez-MOTT), until Vlad Guerrero Jr. reached on an infield single and eventually scored on an RBI base knock from Harold Ramirez.
Crismatt (W, 5-1) went six innings and struck out seven batters with three hits allowed. The Fisher Cats finished the day with six total hits.
Kevin Taylor powered Binghamton's offense with two home runs, while Jeff McNeil went 4-for-6 with a homer and four RBIs.
Tim Tebow went 1-for-5 with a single and four strikeouts, and was thrown out by Andrew Guillotte when he tried to stretch his base hit into a double in the top of the ninth inning.
Guerrero Jr. finished 1-for-4, Bo Bichette went 1-for-5, and Cavan Biggio doubled in the sixth to finish 1-for-4.
Francisco Rios (L, 0-3) made it through five innings for New Hampshire with five strikeouts, but allowed four runs on seven hits, including two homers.
The Fisher Cats and Rumble Ponies will play a doubleheader on Friday, with game one starting at 5:35 p.m. New Hampshire will start pitching prospects Sean Reid-Foley (5-0, 1.88) in Game 1 and T.J. Zeuch (0-1, 4.50 ERA) in Game 2. An Atlas Fireworks Show will follow Game 2
