READING, PA - A game-tying home run from Cavan Biggio and great hustle from Bo Bichette helped spark the first come-from-behind win of the season for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on Sunday, as the Toronto Blue Jays Double-A affiliate defeated the Reading Fightin Phils (Phillies) 4-2 at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Trailing 2-0 in the sixth, the comeback began with a lead-off double from Bichette. Up stepped Biggio, who launched the first pitch of his third at-bat beyond the wall in left-centerfield to tie the game 2-2. It was Biggio's second homer in as many days and third of the season. He finished the series with 5 RBI in three games.
New Hampshire scored another pair in the eighth to take the lead. Back-to-back one out walks to Bichette and Biggio put runners on second and first for Juan Kelly, who lifted a soft line drive that barely passed above the outstretched glove of the leaping shortstop. After freezing on the liner to ensure it made it out of the infield, Bichette went tearing towards home and scored from second on a bang-bang play at the plate to put the 'Cats up 3-2. With runners on the corners, a bunt attempt in the next at-bat brought home Biggio from third after an error by Fightins pitcher Edgar Garcia (L, 0-1) to make it 4-2.
Dusty Isaacs (W, 2-0), Danny Young (H, 2) and Zach Jackson (S, 2) combined on three scoreless innings of relief to secure the victory.
Fisher Cats starter Jon Harris didn't factor in to the decision but turned in his longest out of the season. The #30 Blue Jays prospect (MLB.com) went six innings, gave up two runs on four hits, walked two and struck out five.
