Manchester, NH [6/23/18] - Jon Harris allowed one run in 6.2 innings for his third consecutive win as the Fisher Cats (Toronto Blue Jays) topped Reading (Philadelphia Phillies) 5-1 on Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Harris, a first-round draft pick of the Blue Jays in 2015 (28th overall), allowed six hits and did not walk a batter. He matched a season-high with seven strikeouts, and scattered six hits. Kirby Snead and Andrew Case retired the final seven batters in order to finish off the win for the Fisher Cats (44-29).
The Fisher Cats scored all five of their runs in the second inning. After Juan Kelly scored on a balk, Jonathan Davis ripped a two-run double to make it 3-0. Jon Berti added an RBI two-bagger of his own, and scored on a Bo Bichette single to cap the rally at 5-0.
Reading (32-41) scored its only run on a solo home run by Zach Green, his 14th, leading off the seventh inning. Jacob Waguespack (0-1) took the loss.
Bichette and Berti both finished 2-for-4 with an RBI apiece.
