Manchester, NH - Despite a season-high 10 strikeouts and six brilliant innings from Sean Reid-Foley, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate) dropped a 6-5 heartbreaker to the Reading Fightin' Phils (Phillies Double-A affiliate) on Wednesday at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.

Reid-Foley, the 4th ranked pitching prospect in the Blue Jays organization according to Baseball America, held Reading to two runs: a solo homer from Zach Green and an RBI single from Zach Coppola. Reid-Foley scattered five hits and walked none. His 1.53 ERA now ranks 4th in the Eastern League.

New Hampshire entered the ninth inning with a 4-2 lead, thanks to a first-inning solo homer from Cavan Biggio, a two-run double in the sixth inning from Max Pentecost, and an eighth inning throwing error that added an insurance run.

Closer Andrew Case (BS, 1)(L, 0-1) came on for the ninth inning, and was greeted by back-to-back home runs from Damek Tomscha and Zach Green, tying the game at 4-4. Deivi Grullon, Jan Hernandez and Brandon Bednar each hit doubles to plate another pair of runs and give Reading a 6-4 advantage.

Juan Kelly led off the bottom of the ninth with his first home run of the season to make it 6-5, but the Fisher Cats would not reach base again in the final frame.

Biggio, who ranks second in the Eastern League with six home runs, finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Bo Bichette went 2-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to a league-best nine games.

The Fisher Cats hit the road for a four-game series with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets Double-A affiliate), and will return home on Monday, May 7 for a three-game set against the Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox Double-A affiliate).
