Bowie, MD - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats saw their four-game winning streak snapped Saturday night, as the Bowie Baysox ended a nine-game skid with a 7-1 win over New Hampshire at Prince George's Stadium.
Bowie scored two in the second and never looked back. Austin Wynns homered with a man on and one out to put the Baysox up early against 'Cats starter Sean Reid-Foley (L, 3-5).
The Orioles affiliate added a single run in the sixth, three in the seventh and another in the eighth to score their seven runs. New Hampshire managed to scrape one across in the top of the eighth after Jake Thomas - who walked to begin the inning - scored on a wild pitch from Brandon Barker (W, 4-2).
Reid-Foley worked 5.2 innings, gave up three runs on six hits, walked one and struck out four. Justin Shafer was tagged for three runs on four hits in 1.1 innings of work and Kender Villegas allowed an unearned run on one hit in a single inning of relief.
Ryan McBroom recorded his 14th multi-hit effort of the season with a two for four performance. He's hit safely in six consecutive games, tying a season-high for the #30 Blue Jays prospect (MLB.com). Gunnar Heidt also had two hits in the game for the 'Cats.
The series concludes with the rubber game on Sunday afternoon.
