The Fisher Cats (44-30), who maintain a two-game lead in the Eastern League's Eastern Division, were down 7-0 when they scored in the bottom of the eighth inning. Another home run helped Reading build a 6-0 lead in the top of the second. Malquin Canelo singled and stole second. Drew Stankiewicz doubled in a run off the right field wall and Tromp homered to cap the rally.
Zach Green hit his third home run of the series, and 15th of the season, in the top of the sixth inning to make it 7-0. Deivi Grullon added a solo shot in the top of the ninth inning, his tenth.
