Manchester, NH (6/12/16) - Ian Parmley went 4-for-4 with a career-high four runs batted in and Shane Dawson earned his fourth win as the Fisher Cats topped the Bowie Baysox 7-3 on Sunday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Parmley homered and two of his three singles plated runs as the Fisher Cats earned a series win over the defending Eastern League Champs.
Dawson (WP: 4-3) earned his fourth win, allowing three runs, one earned in 6.1 innings. He allowed just three hits, walked two and struck out three.
The Fisher Cats (28-34) hit the board for three runs in the second. Rowdy Tellez singled, Wilkin Castillo walked and Christian Lopes singled to load the bases. Tellez scored on a wild pitch as the other runners moved up. Parmley then drilled a two-run single up-the-middle for a 3-0 lead.
New Hampshire went deep twice in the bottom of the fourth inning. Parmley's first home run of the season made it 4-0. Then after Jorge Flores beat out a bunt, Roemon Fields launched his first homer of the season off Bowie starter and losing pitcher David Hess (3-5) for a 6-0 lead.
The Baysox (27-36) snapped an 18.2 inning scoreless stretch in the series with a run in the top of the fifth inning. Austin Wynns drilled a two-out double for Bowie's first hit of the game and Glynn Davis followed with a single back up the middle to make it 6-1. Tucker Nathans had an RBI single and Wynns added a sacrifice fly in the seventh to trim the lead to 6-3.
In the eighth, Tellez singled and stole second. Matt Dean walked and Parmley singled home the run to put the Fisher Cats up 7-3.
Matt Dermody, Danny Barnes and Colt Hynes continued strong pitching out of the Fisher Cats bullpen with 2.2 innings of scoreless relief.
