MANCHESTER, NH - When you're part of a community, you find a way to contribute. Heartwood Media has found a way - donating a free video for a NH-based nonprofit. Their annual program, The Heartwood Nonprofit Challenge, invites nonprofits to apply for the chance to receive a video at no charge.
Heartwood will produce short videos for Fresh Start Farms, a collective of refugee and immigrant farmer entrepreneurs growing in Dunbarton, NH. They sell through a CSA, wholesale to businesses, through SNAP/Granite State Market Match farm stands throughout Manchester and many other locations. Their next goal is to be able to farm on the land permanently. The videos Heartwood produces will be used as part of their crowdfunding campaign that aims to make purchasing the land a reality.
"This is a unique program and we're excited to be working with the farmers to help them make this their permanent farming home," said Chris Conroy, President of Heartwood Media. "It's also an honor and privilege to visit with and learn more about the many nonprofits in New Hampshire. The good work they all do truly makes a difference in our state. We're proud that we're able to give back just a little to organizations that are doing so much."
Heartwood has worked with many nonprofits in New Hampshire. Heartwood has produced pro bono videos for CASA, NH Preservation Alliance, Concord Community Music School, NH Food Bank, NH Made, Family Resource Center, Girls at Work, NH Businesses for Social Responsibility and The Birchtree Center, among others.
