After-Work Exploration around Adams Point
Relax after work by kayak! Adams point has a unique history and stunning views; unwind from the beginning of the week and gain momentum for the rest of your week on the water!
Date: June 14 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Adams Point, Durham, NH
Cost: $45 per person, $40 for Great Bay Stewards members, $35 with own kayak.
Summer Solstice Lunch on the Bay
Celebrate the first day of summer with a refreshing paddle on the bay! Bring a bagged lunch and your swimsuit; we will be stopping for lunch and a swim!
Date: June 21 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Great Bay Discovery Center
Cost: $35 per person, $30 for Great Bay Stewards members, $25 with own kayak.
Sunset Birding
The estuary is teeming with wildlife in the hours leading up to sunset. Join our naturalists and search for kingfisher, terns, osprey, great blue heron and more as the sun casts brilliant hues over the water.
Dates: June 30 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.; August 15 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; August 28 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

NEW! Down the Lamprey
The Lamprey River is one of seven rivers that flow into the Great Bay. Follow the tides and the bends of the river from Newmarket to where it joins the estuary, spying great blue heron and other wildlife unique to this habitat.

Join naturalists and experts from the NH Fish and Game Department and the University of New Hampshire as we get up close and personal with the wildlife, habitats, and current research in Great Bay. Each Monday, we will feature a different expert.

Bring your kayak and join the Great Bay Stewards, the Friends Group to the Great Bay Discovery Center, to learn how they have made huge strides in protecting the Bay!
