TRENTON, NJ - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) were shutout for the first time this season Saturday night, falling 6-0 at the hands of the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) at ARM & HAMMER Park.
After three scoreless innings, Trenton took the lead in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a walk, two infield singles, a throwing error and a run-scoring groundout.
They added to their lead with an unearned run in the fifth, a two-run home run in the sixth and a solo shot in the seventh to go up 6-0 through seven stanzas.
Trenton starter Michael King was masterful, going the distance to blank the 'Cats and hand New Hampshire its first shutout loss of the year.
Connor Panas had two hits and Jonathan Davis doubled, but that was all the Fisher Cats offense could muster in the loss.
Jordan Romano went six innings and allowed five runs (three earned) on five hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
