Six 'Cats Selected to All-Star Team

Bichette, Biggio, Davis, Guerrero Jr., Romano and
Zeuch highlight Eastern Division roster.

Manchester, NH - The Eastern League has announced its roster for the 2018 All-Star Game, and it features a league-high six players from the first-place New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays Double-A affiliate).

The Fisher Cats' (46-31) All-Star selections include SS Bo Bichette, 2B Cavan Biggio, CF Jonathan Davis, 3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr., RHP Jordan Romano, and RHP T.J. Zeuch. All-Stars are voted on by Eastern League managers and media personnel.

SS Bo Bichette (.280, 7 HR, 42 RBI), is the No. 9 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com, and leads the Eastern League with 24 stolen bases. The 20-year-old ranks second in hits (85), runs (57) and doubles (20), trailing only teammate and fellow All-Star Jonathan Davis in each category. The Blue Jays selected Bichette -- the son of four-time MLB All-Star Dante Bichette -- in the second round of the 2016 draft.

2B Cavan Biggio (.278, 16 HR, 61 RBI), the son of MLB Hall of Famer Craig Biggio, has led the circuit in home runs, RBIs, walks (51) and sacrifice flies (7). This is the 23-year-old's third All-Star selection in his first three professional seasons, including in 2016 with the Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians and in 2017 with the Advanced-A Dunedin Blue Jays. MLB.com now ranks Biggio as the No. 19 prospect in Toronto's system, after leaving him off the Top 30 at the start of this breakout season. The Blue Jays drafted Biggio out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 2016 draft.

CF Jonathan Davis (.307, 3 HR, 26 RBI) leads the Eastern League in runs (64), hits (87) and doubles (21), while ranking second with 19 stolen bases. Davis made history on Tuesday night, recording the first cycle in Fisher Cats history. The 26-year-old lights up a highlight reel as one of the league's best center fielders, and currently sits at No. 28 on MLB.com's list of top Blue Jays prospects. Davis was drafted in the 15th round of the 2013 draft out of Central Arkansas, and won the Fisher Cats Community Service Award in 2017.

3B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.407, 11 HR, 55 RBI) is the consensus top prospect in Minor League Baseball, and was named Eastern League Player of the Month in May. The 19-year-old was signed as a free agent in July of 2015 for $3.9 million, and represented the Blue Jays in the MLB Future Game last summer. His father Vladimir Guerrero will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday, July 29 in Cooperstown, NY.

RHP Jordan Romano (8-3, 4.08 ERA) was as dominant as any pitcher in baseball through his first nine starts, going 8-0 with a 2.04 ERA. He earned a call up to Triple-A Buffalo for one start on May 27, and picked up the win after allowing just two runs in five innings. The Blue Jays drafted Romano -- a native of Markham, Ontario -- in the 10th round of the 2014 draft out of Oral Roberts. He is currently ranked No. 27 among Blue Jays prospects by MLB.com.

RHP T.J. Zeuch (5-3, 3.34 ERA) gets the All-Star nod after just 10 starts in Double-A. In six outings from May 23 - June 19, Zeuch went 5-0 with a 1.27 ERA, and was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week on June 17 after eight two-hit shutout innings against the Akron RubberDucks. The 22-year-old was taken with the 21st overall pick in the 2016 draft out of the University of Pittsburgh, and is ranked as the No. 4 pitching prospect in the Blue Jays organization by MLB.com.

The Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) will host the Eastern League All-Star Game on July 11 at ARM & HAMMER Park.
