McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center Celebrates New Star Wars Episode

Concord, NH - The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center team is very excited about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the new Star Wars movie opening in local theaters this weekend. To celebrate, the Discovery Center has a new Star Wars-themed Christmas tree on display - to its knowledge, the only tree made from X-Wing Fighters in the world! - and a display of Star Wars memorabilia just donated by Steve Renner of Alton, NH. The Discovery Center is open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will offer FREE General Admission this weekend only, December 18 - 20, to anyone dressed in a Star Wars costume.
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center features 21st century interactive exhibits on aviation, astronomy, Earth and space sciences, a state-of-the-art planetarium and a variety of science, technology, and engineering and mathematics programs.
