NORTH CONWAY, NH - Shoppers can take advantage of two weekends of Bring A Friend Shopping events at Settlers Green this year on November 6-8 and 13-15. The Original Bring A Friend Shopping Weekend as well as Bring A Friend Shopping, Too, will be packed with entertainment, activities, coupon offers, a 2000 shopping bag giveaway and huge sales.

"What is now an annual trip for many shoppers, mostly women, the Bring A Friend Shopping event brings visitors to the area from all over the Northeast and Canada in an otherwise quiet time in North Conway," said Laura Tuveson, marketing and events assistant for Settlers Green and Settlers Crossing. "This weekend often outperforms Black Friday sales and traffic for our stores."

If there's one thing that has proven to be a win amongst shoppers, it is the 2000 shopping bag giveaway, which this year takes places at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 7. Bags include exclusive store offers, free products and samples. One "golden bag" is stuffed with a $500 shopping spree to Settlers Green. There is also a BAF Passport to Savings, which has more than 20 stores offers as well as discounts to local restaurants and attractions.

Based on popular demand, Settlers Green released 300 bags for sale on October 19 and sold out within 24 hours. The sale generated $1500 and Settlers Green plans to donate that to the Kiwanis Club of the Mt. Washington Valley at the event.

The remaining 1700 bags released on November 7 will be free, and if shoppers miss out on the giveaway, the BAF Passport to Savings will be available digitally at settlersgreen.com from November 6-15. All offers included will be valid during these dates and can be redeemed by smartphone at the time of checkout.

"We're excited to have so many stores at Settlers Green and Settlers Crossing running promotions for the extent of the Bring A Friend events this year," said Tuveson. "November is a critically important shopping time for our brands and they have done a great job at coordinating sales and offers with our event schedule to give everyone a chance to save big at Bring A Friend."

Activities include an art center hosted by local artist Carol Hanson. Shoppers can drop in and paint a small canvas that will be added to an art structure in the shape of the Settlers Green flower icon. The structure will be then be installed permanently at Settlers Green for viewing. The Carroll Country Altrusa Club will have gift wrapping for $3 at Suite C22 on both weekends of the event and they'll be sharing the space with Photos With Santa hosted by the Kiwanis Club on the first weekend of BAF.

In addition, raffle prizes will be given away every 30 minutes on both Saturdays and Sundays, including gift cards to our stores and restaurants, product and more. Shoppers can unwind at The Lounge, located underneath the tent "on the green" and receive free chocolate, refreshments and a free phone recharge station sponsored by Brookstone.

Stores open at 8 a.m. on November 7 and 8. On November 11, the traditional observance of Veterans Day, stores are open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Current regular store hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
