Ossipee Main Street Host "Lights up the Town"
Hot cider, donut holes and music greet the new tradition.
Ossipee Main Street Program hosted the 1st Annual "Lighting" of our new Gazebo in the park also with lighting up the buildings in town on December 5th. Our resident elf, Cindy Libby, worked very hard putting up lights and decorating with greens and ribbons, making our buildings look very festive.
Hot ciders and donuts holes were served as we listened to Christmas music provided by Bill Grover, and the lights were set to come on at 6:15. Those in attendance got a chance to see how pretty it looked and to hear the great acoustics the gazebo provides. It was a small start on what we hope to be an annual even.
Main Street also hosts an evergreen swag making for the town buildings with the Garden Club and they have hung many beautiful swags all a round the town.
We would sincerely like to thank everyone that has helped us promote the feeling of "Community" which is one of Main Street's goals. Also a real appreciation to folks that have donated greens, the building owners who have agreed to let us decorate their places, and the ones that have done it themselves.
