French and Indian War.

Madison Boulder, an enormous souvenir of the ice age that is well worth a visit,
Madison Cascades, a trail climbing gently through the woods to a ridge overlooking the flat ledge cascades of Forest Brook,
Silver Lake Railroad, offering train rides by donation, and both the village and water body of Silver Lake.
