Ah, the elusive moose!
Darker in color, and without the reflective eyes of a deer, people may not see a moose until they are very close. A usually shy animal, moose can be dangerous â€" particularly males during mating season, and mothers with calves.
Early evening is the best time to witness moose in their natural state. There is some debate related to the habits of moose and their activities, but it is clear they are busiest at dawn and dusk.
For the general public, the use of spotlights to view wildlife is illegal. The tours are authorized to illuminated moose, so you'll be seeing something special.
