The kids will love Storyland, a fairytale theme park nestled in the mountain town of Glen, NH. The rides and activities will entertain your children as they have since 1954. The scenery is impressive, so parents can enjoy the views while children enjoy the park. Storyland was developed by a German couple, who were so inspired by a friend's toy making, that they developed the amusement park on a former family farm.

Not only are there over 20 rides, there are appearances by Curious George, Peter Rabbit and Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Stage performances include a circus act, musicals and a fairytale theater.

Rental strollers, wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available, as are kennels for the family pet. Rain checks are available at the discretion of the management.

While picnics are permitted, there are restaurants in the park serving sandwiches, Mexican food and burgers. For those concerned with allergies, an ingredient list is posted on Storyland's website. Other dining is a bit of a drive (about six miles) to North Conway.

Famous characters, rides, and food designed for kids 12 and under make this a best bet. Load the minivan, and get ready to build some memories at Storyland.
