The Tapply-Thompson Community Center in Bristol sponsored the Annual Jack Frost & Miss Snowflake Dance for 7th & 8th Grade students on Friday, January 29th at the Center. The 7th & 8th Grade classes each nominate five girls and five boys to compete for the title of Jack Frost & Miss Snowflake. Points are awarded on the basis of volunteerism, extra curricular activities, Community Center participation, grades and citizenship.
The 2016 7th grade candidates were Autumn Braley, Haley Dukette, Amelia Monahan,
Jasmine Peterson, Hailey Towne, Matthew Costigan, Erik Hanser, Jacob Huckins, Matthew Karkheck and Garrett King. The 8th grade candidates were Madison Avery, Bridget Conkling, Kathryn Donnelly, Chassidy Leclair, Valentina Raptis, Nolan Hayes, Peter Joffre, Leroy Laflamme, Brandon Marcoux and Aidyn Robbins. 125 participants attended the dance.
Crowned Jack Frost for 2016 is Matthew Karkheck. Autumn Braley was crowned Miss Snowflake 2016. Plaques were awarded to the winners by the 2015 Jack Frost & Miss Snowflake, Wyatt Day and Bailey Jenness.
