About Cite Ecologique of New Hampshire Ecovillage:
Nested in the small but beautiful North Country Colebrook community, Cite Ecologique of NH ecovillage established on 315 acres of forest and open fields in 2003. The ecovillage is an outgrowth of another ecovillage and alternative school founded in 1984 in Ham-Nord, Quebec Canada, by Michael Deunov, a former public educator who sought to better harmonize what students were studying in the classroom with the natural world. To support that vision, 45 residents decided to start an organic farm to feed the ecovillage members with a better quality of fresh produces and sales it surplus in local markets. New Earth Organic Farm also served as an educational internship campus for The Ecovillage Institute learning center.
